Mak-a-zine: The 16-page zine
Drop images onto the different pages of the zine you want to create. Clicking on a page will open three options:
- Switch between contain/cover for image: Once you have added an image to a page, you can use this command to choose whether the image on that page will be scaled to be contained completely in the page, or to cover the whole page. If you want images to cover the whole page without being cropped, use an aspect ratio of 5:7.
- Remove image: You may choose to remove the image.
- Set background colour: You may choose the background colour of a page to show if the page is empty or if the image is set to be contained in the page. You may also set the background colour of all pages using the BG button on the right of the screen.
- Hide page information: Press 'i' to hide the page information in the display.
Once done, press the PDF button to generate your pdf file ready to print. The pdf will have fold/cut lines around the edges of the front page to guide you folding the zine and cutting the inner slit and the outer edges. Make sure you print the pdf double-sided, flip along short edge.
